Born on January 10, 1959 in the rural background of district Jind in Haryana
(India) in a farmer’s family, Dr. Hari Om completed his Master’s and Doctorate
degree in the field of Agronomy from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural
University, Hisar with the distinction of Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of
4.0 out of 4.0. Awarded Dr. V.D. Kasyap Gold Medal in 1995 for the best research
work on the management of Hybrid rice during Ph.D. degree.
Dr. Hari Om is presently working as Senior Scientist (Agronomy) in Department of
Agronomy in CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Remained associated with
the research work on rice-wheat system and Integrated farming system for the
last 25 years. Published more than 150 research articles, 6 books/bulletin and
book chapters in national and international journals and research magazines.
Awarded for presenting research paper in the International Seminar on ‘Natural
Resource Management’.
For spiritual Journey, Dr. Hari Om was initiated and baptized by Satguru
(spiritual Preceptor) Radhasoami Dayal Param Saint Tara Chand Ji Maharaj on
November 14, 1986. After viewing the spiritual light in his eyes on January 10,
1987, he was given new name Prakash (light or noor) by Satguru and used to be
called as Bimal Prakash (combined representation of Dr. Hari Om and his wife
Bimal) by the Master and His followers. Presently, Dr. Hari Om has been leading
the spiritual Mission of Radhasoami yoga by the orders of Satguru since February
1, 1998. The Mission has its headquarters at Radhasoami Satsang Taradham,
Kurukshetra (Haryana). Ms. Bimal, his wife and spiritual comrade is contributing
and guiding the spiritual seekers in his association. Dr. Hari Om has written 19
books on spiritualism.
